Salary Range: $22.76 – $28.03 per hour

Length of employment: As needed by the department, but generally Lab Technicians are required from June to August with the possibility of extension into September; Crew Members and Crew Supervisors are generally required from May to August.

A Wildland Fuels Inventory Lab Technician is responsible for processing fuel moisture and fuel load vegetation samples collected by field crews for the Alberta Wildland Fuels Inventory Program.

The objective of this program is to collect detailed field information in order to build a decision support system for prescribed fire and FireSmart planning. By processing samples, maintaining quality records and providing assistance with data analysis you will be playing an essential part in this exciting program.
