Reporting to the Woodlands Operations Superintendent, the Area Supervisor will be part of a team with responsibilities for all aspects of forest operations required. As an Area Supervisor you will be responsible to supervise logging, hauling and related operations and to ensure that production, quality, environmental and legal requirements are met in a safe and cost effective manner. The work will involve contract management, contractor supervision, liaison with government officials, negotiations and the coordination of operations with planning and silviculture.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be registered as a Forest Practitioner in Alberta either as a RPF or RPFT, or be eligible for registration, with several years of forestry or operations experience. Previous experience with log haul would be an asset. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong interest in forest operations and excellent organization, communication and computer skills.West Fraser is currently looking for individuals who are interested in a full time long-term career.
