Our Hinton Division is seeking individuals with strong technical, leadership, planning, organization and interpersonal skills to fill the following positions:

JOURNEYPERSON STEAMFITTER – PIPEFITTER

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Steamfitter-Pipefitter is a is a key player in the Company’s commitment to continuous improvement through the daily use of predictive and preventative  maintenance  strategies. As a member of this high performing team you are also responsible for working safely within the pulp mill.

Specific duties include:

  • the maintenance, installation and repair of complex piping systems
  • active participation in the Hinton Pulp Safety Program

The successful candidate must:

  • hold a valid Alberta Journeyman or Interprovincial Steamfitter-Pipefitter Certificate
  • be willing to obtain Gasfitter Class A Certificate
  • demonstrate experience with FRP pipe (fiberglass)
  • have heavy industry experience
  • demonstrate an ability to work independently with little supervision
  • be self-motivated while supporting Team cooperation
  • demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • hold a valid Alberta Driver’s License
  • demonstrate solid computer skills

Applications from 3rd or 4th year Apprentices with heavy industry experience, and/or Gasfitter Class B may be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with Gasfitter Class A who hold multiple trade certifications.
