Our Hinton Division is seeking individuals with strong technical, leadership, planning, organization and interpersonal skills to fill the following positions:

JOURNEYPERSON INSTRUMENTATION TECH.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Instrumentation Technician is a key player in the Company’s commitment to continuous improvement through the daily use of predictive and preventative maintenance strategies. As a member of this high performing team you are also responsible for working safely within the pulp mill.

Specific duties include:

  • installing, maintaining and inspecting equipment and facilities
  • maintaining and operating electrical and electronic systems and equipment
  • troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • active participation in the Hinton Pulp Safety Program

The successful candidate will:

  • possess a valid Alberta Journeyman or Interprovincial Instrumentation Certificate
  • demonstrate experience with PH probes, consistency controllers, cap analyzer,
  • automatic valves, and Deltav
  • possess Heavy Industry experience
  • demonstrate previous experience in a flexible multi skilled work environment
  • possess strong organizational and communication skills
  • demonstrate excellent interpersonal and team building skills
  • possess a valid Alberta Driver’s License

Applications from 3rd or 4th year Apprentices with heavy industry experience may be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with a second/multiple trade certifications
