We are looking for someone who is excited in providing support to the company in the areas of health, safety, and environment, to ensure all practices are in compliance with company and regulatory agency requirements.

Safety:

Key Responsibilities:
· Provides OH&S orientation, guidance and advice to employees and contractors
· Responsible for coordinating internal and external safety audits
· Reviews and advises on OH&S forms (hazard assessments, incident investigations)
· Assists in incident investigations and ensures follow through of corrective actions stemming from incident investigations, audits, inspections and hazard reports.
· Provides advice relating to compliance with Provincial/Federal OH&S legislation
· Compiles statistical safety data and reports for internal users and external organizations
· Coordinates, prepares and participates in health and safety meetings
· Conducts onsite hazard assessments and worksite inspections to identify and evaluate various health and safety concerns.
· Helps with the development of OH& S policies and procedures
· Co-ordinates 3rd party safety training as required

Environmental:

Key Responsibilities:
· Ensures that inspections and record keeping are performed at required frequencies, and that environmental monitoring parameters are in accordance with permits, plans, and government regulations.
· Completes and submits environmental reports, proposals and surveys to various companies and government agencies.

Qualifications:

· Completed an accredited program in Health and Safety or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
· Demonstrated 2+ years of experience working in the safety field in manufacturing
· Ability to interact with various levels of management
· Strong verbal and written communication
· Competent level of ability using Microsoft Office Suite.

Manning Diversified Forest Products Ltd.(MDFP), a sawmill located approximately 270 kilometers north of Grande Prairie, Alberta.
